Inclusion Base at Red Robin House
As well as 'Life Skills' sessions, some pupils access Red Robin House as part of their inclusion support. Some children welcome the quiet, small group space and support of the teaching and pastoral team.
The space is used for:
- Lego therapy intervention
- Sensory Room experience
- Teaching the strategies needed for emotional regulation
- Practice in practical 'real-life' problem solving and critical thinking
- Increasing pupils independence and confidence in smaller groups where a therapeutic approach is adopted e.g ELSA and Theraplay
- Helping pupils develop their social skills, improving their ability to work as part of a team, stay safe and follow routines
- Counselling
